Hello to all of our dear Friends & Family!

Normally, we send out a monthly report so you can keep up with all that the Lord is doing here through Faith Ministries and the Scott Family—however, this month there were “complications”. Printers breaking down; desktops in other locations being returned for repairs, etc. So…for April we are just going to send out a quick, quick update and we will send out a fuller report in May.

Quick Recap of Recent Activites:

• Instituto El Shaddai—our ministry training school still going strong; and we have been privileged to have many loved and anointed guest ministers
• Instituto El Shaddai in the prison—going strong and seeing great results
• Hosted mission team from the United States (Colorado) and built a pastors parsonage
• Took our first ever mission team FROM Mexico TO the U.S. and experienced great and glorious things of the Lord
• Setting up our first water-purification system for some IES graduates who are pastors so that they can earn some money to support their family
• We are strong and healthy, no swine flu here in our home, and no cases heard of in these immediate parts
• We’ve had divine protection in the midst of violent times while the Mexican gov’t attacks the drug cartel. Glory to God
• Busy upcoming summer

Well, that’s basically it for now.

Again, we apologize for any inconvenience caused by our report now arriving (I know some of you depend on it to remind you to send in your financial support). I do believe all such challenges will be taken care of so that our May Report will be awesome and arrive in a timely manner. J

If you click on the link above you can see a Mexican TV news article about the disaster that occurred in Alamos, Sonora–just 30 miles east of us–on October 11, 2008. The sum of it is that a wall of water, 10 ft high, came with absolutely zero warning–it wasn’t even raining–and all arroyos and streets overflowed bringing tragedy. This TV news report, filmed a day after the event, says that 4 people died, but by the end of the week, 8 were declared dead, and 100 missing. Faith Ministries was able to contribute some help on a small scale, by sending in a team of 11 people to help in the clean-up of a co-missionary’s home,  property and vehicles.

As our partners, you also ministered to the people who were devastated due to the destruction and loss of many precious things in their lives. More than anything, I think our team ministered hope and a shoulder to lean on.
